Electrical Energy, Book Clubs, and Pie in the Face Time!
Well, there you have it!
The Kipling Community did an amazing job donating food for the Deerfield Food Pantry!
I'm just glad that I now have the whipped cream smell out of my nostrils!

We are really getting into our book club books!
As we read, we are working on making sure we understand what we read, noting interesting/new words, and completing check-ins to help with comprehension. We will use these check-ins to fuel our conversations for our book club talks next week!
We read a text about a scientist who helped bring awareness to the CFC's damage to the ozone layer.
We had an AMAZING discussion on different text structures within the text.
My heart was overflowing with pride!

In science, we worked in teams to make fans and buzzers work using lamps, mini solar panels, and batteries.
Earlier in the week, we were given some supplies and a challenge to work together to make the light turn on with the switch.
