Earlier in the week, we worked on identifying the central idea of a section of text.
We learned that the central idea is what the text is mostly about. We also worked to identify 3 examples from the text to support that central idea.
We dove into our next Book Club Books!
We will use these books to help us work on identifying how a character changes and point of view!

We learned how to play a new game called "Related Numbers."
We had to find factors for a given number.
We used the numbers we selected to add to our score.
We worked with partners to determine the Author's Purpose in the story Flora and Ulysses.
In Science, we learned about volcanic and earthquake hazards.
We will be taking this information to help us construct a building that can withstand a small earthquake!
During our morning meeting, we are learning about how to flip our mindset into a growth mindset.
We came up with different phrases that we can tell ourselves in order to flip.
